One ROM Shims

Update 20th May 2026: 32A SST30SF040 shim stock expected soon and backordering enabled.  We will contact you after ordering with an expected shipping date.

One ROM Shims are used to adapt the pinout of a One ROM to allow it to support an even wider range of ROMs, in particular those that would otherwise be fundamentally incompatible with One ROM’s design.

Shims are only required for specific combinations of One ROMs and emulated ROM types.  The vast majority of supported ROM types do not require a shim.

One ROM not included.

Currently available:

• Fire 32A to SST39SF040

Coming soon:

• Fire 40A to 27C1028
• Fire 24 to Signetics 2513
• Fire 24 to 82S123

All shims include:

• The shim PCB
• Legs (which you insert into your system’s socket)
• A socket (which you insert One ROM 32 into)

We offer two options:

1. Unsoldered
2. Soldered

If you choose the “Unsoldered” option, you will receive the shim legs and socket  with your order, but you will need to solder them to the PCB.

If you choose the “Soldered” option, you will receive the shim with the legs and socket pre-soldered.
